PNG CORE TO HOST MAJOR INDUSTRY SHOWCASE IN JULY

The Papua New Guinea Chamber of Resources & Energy (PNG CORE) is pleased to announce a suite of events occurring in July to celebrate the vital role the resources sector has played in developing PNG or for 50 years.

Under the theme “Building PNG for 50 Years,” the month-long celebration will be anchored by the PNG Resources Golden Exhibition, a three-week event running from July 7 to 25 at APEC House. The Expo will serve as a central feature of the nation’s PNG@50 Independence celebrations, showcasing the legacy, impact, and future of PNG’s mining, petroleum, and energy industries.

From July 7 to 31, PNG CORE will host the following high-impact events, including:

    PNG Resources Golden Exhibition
  • Supply Development Seminar
  • Career Fair
  • PNG Resources Week Charity Golf Challenge
  • CANCONEX (Community and Networking Conference & Exhibition)
  • Industry Recognition Awards
  • PNG Resources Summit
  • Resources Summit Dinner and
  • Legacy Awards

These events will bring together local and international stakeholders, community leaders, and industry experts to foster dialogue, inspire youth, and promote sustainable, inclusive growth.

The Golden Expo and Exhibition will honor the transformative contributions of the resources sector, including:

    Infrastructure development in remote areas
  • Investments in health, education, and local enterprise
  • Job creation and technical skills transfer
  • National revenue and foreign exchange support

The Expo provides a platform for transparency, community engagement, and showcasing corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts.
