A total of one hundred persons will be part of the first batch of Papua New Guineans to be sent to Australia as part of the Central Seasonal Workers Labor mobilization program under the initiative of Rufina Peter,  Governor for Central Province, and Central’s Manpower Recruitment Ltd. (CMRL).

Screening is currently underway at the 5-Mile United Church in the National Capital District.

Bina Leana, the Managing Director for CMRL, has called on interested persons from Central who want to be part of the group to ensure their papers are in order before visiting the 5-Mile United Church to drop off their applications for screening.

“We are here at the church every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so far eighty-seven (87) applications are with me for screening we are encouraging more applications to come in," stated Ms. Leana

For those that are interested in being part of the program, the requirements are to have a NID card, birth certificate, passport along with photos, police clearance for Visa, vaccine green card and vaccine yellow card, and TB medical check clearance.

Once these documents are all put together, individuals are encouraged to go to the 5-mile United Church on the allocated days throughout the week. CMRL MD Leana also revealed that the company name will be changed to Central Province Seasonal Workers in the coming months.
