Terrain Tamer opens new Lae warehouse

By: PNG Business News August 13, 2020

Don Kyatt Spare Parts, Terrain Tamer have officially opened their new warehouse in Lae.

The warehouse is the second Papua New Guinea branch for the Australian 4wd Parts company, and their 15th internationally, including locations across Australia, Europe, New Zealand and Fiji.

After the success of their Port Moresby branch, which opened in early 2018, Terrain Tamer was looking to expand, to service a wider area of Papua New Guinea’s strong agricultural and mining industries, as well as recreational drivers, with their range of over 40,000 4WD spare parts.

General Manager Brent Hutchinson says the company chose Lae for the new warehouse because it is an industrial hub for Papua New Guinea, with good access to the mountain ranges and islands that are hard to reach from Port Moresby.

“The conditions and terrain around Lae and the surrounding mountains mean that 4WD owners there really rely on strong, rugged and reliable operation of their vehicles.” Mr Hutchinson said.

“Terrain Tamer parts are made to be equal to or stronger than their OE equivalent, so we are well suited to these types of areas.”

The Lae branch is managed by Eddie Saria, and is now open at Shed No 1, Lot 13, Portion 345, Malahang Industrial Estate.
