2025 marks the 50th year of a vibrant Papua New Guinea. To celebrate PNG's journey from 1975 to 2025, popular PNG author Di Macinnes is producing Volume 3 of the PNG Pictorial Series. Volumes 1 and 2 were published in 2015 to mark the 40th Anniversary and the Pacific Games.
The book is a 400-page kaleidoscopic journey through the rich history of the country. It includes a section for every province and a comprehensive timeline of significant dates in our history.
The intention is to recognise the people who have shaped our history, as well as some who have never been recognised.
If you have high-resolution pictures of significant individuals who you feel should be recognised, please contact us by email. We would also appreciate, and reimburse costs for, outstanding photographs you think should be included.
For the first time, we will include QR code links for significant events or to direct readers to your own website or audiovisual material. Read the book with your phone by your side and enjoy a visual feast of our history.

To ensure the book is a complete history and includes events and visitors during September, as well as those leading up to it, the book will be published in the last quarter of 2025.
Distribution will include all government departments, foreign missions, and contributors. Remaining stock will be distributed free of charge to selected schools across the country.
