A Window into PNG's Artistic Heritage
For the first time, a mini art gallery will be established, dedicated to showcasing the rich arts and culture of Papua New Guinea (PNG). This exclusive gallery will display an array of PNG artefacts, offering delegates a unique opportunity to explore the diverse and vibrant artistic traditions of PNG. The gallery will highlight the works of two notable PNG artists:
- Embarked on his artistic journey at age 5, progressing to painting at 14 under the tutelage of the late contemporary artist Martin Morobubuna.
- Celebrated his inaugural exhibition in 2014 at the Moresby Arts Theatre, earning a merit award for his painting in the show 'Compendium'.
- A lifelong dedication to drawing, beginning from his earliest memories.
- Gained recognition for his artwork 'Mountain Meri', portraying a Western Highlands lady in traditional attire, inspired by his mother's appreciation for people and culture.
