Another year, another exciting opportunity to welcome a new group of young learners to the Hastings Deering Port Moresby Business Centre.
As part of Book Week 2026, children from Buk Bilong Pikinini visited our Port Moresby facilities for an educational and engaging tour, giving them a firsthand look at what we do.
The children enjoyed an exciting tour of the Business Centre, starting with our Sales Team, where they saw a brand-new CAT 426 Backhoe Loader. They then visited our Learning Centre, where they learned about machine electrical systems and watched a demonstration.
The tour continued to the Hose Pressing Container, Parts Warehouse and Service Workshop. The children explored the tool store, watched our technicians at work and even had a hands-on experience with a forklift.
It was a wonderful opportunity to inspire the next generation and spark curiosity about careers in engineering, technology and the trades.
The visit concluded with lunch and gifts provided by the HD POM team, leaving the children with smiles and lasting memories of their experience.
