National Airports Corporation To Reduce Operational Hours
The National Airports Corporation is now proposing to reduce operational hours for all aerodromes due to the impact of Covid-19.
The reduction in aircraft movements, passenger numbers and freight volumes at all NAC airports as a result of COVlD-19 has significantly reduced NAC incomes thereby making it challenging to sustain operations at the current minimum levels of service.
As per NAC Business Continuity Plan (BCP), the NAC is now advising all airline operators, airport stakeholders, tenants and concessionaires of the proposed reduced hours of operations at all our airports.
Effective as of 1st August 2020, the proposed new hours of operations from Monday to Sunday at all NAC airports will be 8.00 am - 5.00 pm.
All flight movements in and out of all our airports are to adhere to the new hours of operation.
Consideration will be given only to specially approved passenger flights, medical transport flights, cargo movement, humanitarian relief efforts and international over flyers outside of the new proposed hours of operation.
